Fears & Phobias

Dealing With Fears and Phobias

Phobias are defined as ‘ irrational fears or aversions’. Fear, however, is an emotion and it’s not going to be governed by reason. In a state of hypnosis, you can access your emotions and deal with your phobias. In a fully conscious state, you sometimes can’t even find them.

How phobias can affect your life

Fears and phobias can get in the way of what you want and need to do. For example:

  • Your daughter is getting married in Australia, but you can’t face flying.
  • There’s a job you’d love to apply for, but you can’t face the interview.
  • You need to do some shopping, but there are pigeons about.
  • You use a wheelchair and can’t use the stairs, but being in a lift brings on a panic attack.
  • There’s a storm brewing. If you start screaming at work, you will be embarrassed. Should you stay at home?
